Amongst the collection of Chevy trucks is the 2020 Chevy Colorado. This is a pickup truck that redefines expectations with power and comfort alike. Offered at the starting price of $21,300 MSRP, this pickup exists within an affordable range. That said, if you’d like more than the standard fair of features, you can upgrade into a slew of different trim options. Some of these trim options include the Base, WT, LT, Z71, and ZR2. Amongst these trim options are a plethora of features, allowing you to configure your model precisely the way that you want to.
Powering the base model Chevy Colorado is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that is responsible for 200 hp and 191 lb-ft worth of torque. All of that engine thrust is channeled through a 6-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, both of which make for some pretty nimble handling. Although, should you choose to upgrade, you can find a 4.6-liter V6 engine that is rated for 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque, and gets a much more agile 8-speed automatic transmission. This version of the pickup also has a top towing capacity of 7,000 lbs. Additionally, if you are looking for a diesel option, the Colorado has you covered with the optional 2.8-liter Duramax engine. This diesel engine produces 181 hp and an impressive 369 lb-ft of torque.
On top of engine options, when you invest in the Chevy Colorado, you’ll get to choose between two body styles, an extended cab with a 5-foot-1 truck bed or a crew cab with a 6-foot-2 truck bed. And when it comes to auto tech, the Chevy Colorado gets a healthy dose, offering a 7-inch infotainment screen and a four-way power-adjustable driver’s seat in baseline models. These features round the 2020 Chevy Colorado out to be one impressive truck.
Another fantastic Chevrolet truck is the 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, a beefier version of the Silverado 1500. Strictly standard versions of this truck start at $34,100 MSRP. If you want more, you can climb the ladder of trims, which includes the Work Truck, Custom, LT, and LTZ. However, no matter what trim you consider, you can be assured it will be powerful.
This pickup truck offers tremendous power and capability right out of the gate. Right at the start, the Chevy Silverado 2500HD uses a 6.6-liter V8 engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission to make 401 hp and 464 lb-ft worth of torque. That is extremely impressive power, especially for a standard engine. This can be upgraded to a 6.6-liter Duramax turbodiesel engine that produces 445 hp and a fantastic 910 lb-ft of torque. Even better, when the Silverado 2500HD is equipped with the turbodiesel engine, dual rear wheels, and rear-wheel drive, this superpowered truck can haul a maximum of 35,500 lbs. So if you have work to get done, this truck is what you need.
There are two bed options for the Chevy Silverado 2500HD, one measuring in at 6-foot-10, and the other at 8-feet. The interior of the Chevy Silverado 2500HD comes adequately equipped with several different high technology features. Base models are built with a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, while higher trims add some really special features such as an advanced trailering system that allows you to view the outside from 15 different angles. There is no denying the greatness of this truck.
On the GMC side of things, there is the 2020 GMC Sierra 1500. Like the Chevy Colorado, the GMC Sierra 1500 is a well-rounded pickup truck with an MSRP of $31,195. When you visit our showroom, you’ll be able to select from a handful of trim options, including the base, SLE, SLT, Elevation, AT4, and Denali.
Accompanying these trims are five different engine builds, all of which offer a fulfilling driving experience no matter what you’re looking for. Base models of the GMC Sierra find their power from a 4.3-liter V6 that manages to punch out 285 hp and 305 lb-ft worth of torque, with the assistance of a 6-speed automatic transmission. But, as mentioned, there are many options to upgrade.
One of these options is a 2.7-liter Turbo engine with 310 hp and 348 lb-ft of torque. Another being a 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine with 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. Higher-tier trims capitalize on all of that power with a 6.2-liter V8, which is responsible for 420 hp, 460 lb-ft of torque, and a towing capacity of 12,000 lbs. Lastly, there is a 3.0-liter Duramax engine for those wanting a diesel option. This engine rounds out the massive selection with 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.
The GMC Sierra also comes in a myriad of body stylings, which include a 5-foot-8, 6-foot-6, and 8-foot truck bed. These body stylings also include a two-door regular cab, an extended cab, and a four-door crew cab. Technology in the GMC Sierra 1500 is well dished out, too, offering drivers an Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible 7-inch display, as well as several active safety features in some trim configurations. Overall, there are many fantastic options as far as power and comfort for the 2020 GMC Sierra 1500, making it a great choice for truck drivers.
The 2020 GMC Canyon is yet another spectacular mid-sized pickup truck offering drivers an experience behind the wheel that is both utility-focused and comfortable. Base models start at $22,200 MSRP with plenty of options for upgrades. These upgrades are found in a number of different trim configurations, which include the SLE, SLT, All Terrain, and Denali.
When you step foot into a baseline model of the GMC Canyon, you’ll be put in charge of a rather zippy 2.5-liter inline-4 engine that makes 200 hp and 191 lb-ft worth of torque. The standard performance equipment supporting this engine includes a 6-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel drivetrain. Engine power only improves from here, as some Canyon models come with a 3.6-liter V6, which is capable of an output equivalent to 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque.
And if you’re looking for top-ranking towing capacity, you can find it in the form of a 2.8-liter turbodiesel V6, which offers up 186 hp, 369 lb-ft of torque, and a max towing capacity of 7,700 lbs. And if you’re on the hunt for a pickup truck that can handle its own on the trail, the GMC Colorado All Terrain provides plenty of off-road gear. With equipment like Goodyear off-road tires, an upgraded suspension system, and a more robust transfer case, the GMC Canyon can become quite the competent trailblazer.
The 2020 GMC Canyon offers a 6-foot-2 truck bed, which is standard in the extended cab body styling. Onboard, the GMC Canyon drivers will find plenty of high-tech bells and whistles including, the option for a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot and a sprawling 7-inch infotainment touch-display. Add in the Canyon’s Driver Alert Package, and you can also find additional driver assistance features, which include forward-collision and lane-departure warnings. The options are endless for the 2020 GMC Canyon, making it one of the best competitors on the pickup truck market.
