2019 GMC Sierra Elevates Style With New Trim
The all-new 2019 GMC Sierra offers a stylish and powerful new trim called the Elevation for drivers who need to get a lot done but don’t want to sacrifice on luxury features. With its striking design cues, impressive capability, and strong performance, you’ll settle for nothing less than the 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation. Don’t rush off to your local GMC dealer quite yet, however; the 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation won’t be available until fall of 2018.
Although the 2019 GMC Sierra debuted earlier this year with numerous cosmetic and design upgrades, the Elevation takes those changes and adds new standard equipment to make the truck more powerful than ever. Here’ we’ll take you through everything you can expect to get out of this wonderfully aesthetic and wickedly capable new GMC pickup.
The Elevation is meant to catch eyes and turn heads. Its exterior design is built on the premise of a strong body while also incorporating chiseled shoulders, a tall hood, and a big, bold front grille. The Elevation takes this bold design aesthetic further with color-coordinated door handles, bumpers, and grille surround to present you with a sleek monochromatic look. This bold and slick appearance is further accentuated by many black accent pieces, including the grille insert, tow hooks, side window trim, and 20-inch aluminum wheels.
The advanced lighting technology also serves to enhance the look of the Elevation. The Elevation features high-intensity LED headlamps, incorporating a C-shaped “light blade” along with LED fog lamps and C-shaped LED elements within the taillights. These distinctive lighting features come standard on the Elevation and contribute to its unique appearance both in the daylight and at nighttime.
The interior design of the vehicle is just as impressive as the exterior and is focused on functionality and space. The 2019 Sierra Elevation offers best-in-class cargo volume, giving you 62.9 cubic feet on short-box models and 89.1 cubic feet on standard box models. Located in the bed is a 120-volt outlet to supply power to whatever you need to get you through the day. Additionally, there are available GearOn rails within the box to allow for bike racks, kayak carriers, and other accessories to be hauled easily, so you can play as hard as you work. The rails’ position makes your cargo more easily accessible and even frees up space in the rest of the bed. Also, you’ll never have to work hard with the Elevation because it includes a larger and improved CornerStep rear bumper with integrated hand grabs in the top of the bed rail to make it easy for you to climb in and out of the bed while loading or securing your cargo. You’ll also get three more inches of rear legroom with the Elevation so that everyone can ride comfortably.
Enjoy your freedom to customize with the many different powerful and efficient engine options for the Elevation. Plus, you can match your perfect engine with either two or four-wheel drive configurations. The standard engine on the 2019 Sierra Elevation is the all-new 2.7liter turbo engine, which is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine gets 310 horsepower and 348 lb.-ft. of torque, which is a whole lot of power packed under the hood.
Also available on the Elevation is the 5.3 liter V8, likewise paired with the eight-speed automatic transmission. This version of the 5.3 liter V8 uses a brand new Dynamic Fuel Management system, allowing the engine to operate on a range of one to eight cylinders depending on your needs to optimize power and fuel efficiency.
While these are the introductory options, a new engine will be offered later in 2019. This new engine is a 3.0-liter turbo diesel inline six-cylinder engine mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
